CLIC - Apply Now for Cohort 10!

Envision Financial Community Leaders Igniting Change (CLIC) is a grass-roots program that helps local community members build upon their leadership skills and confidence as change-makers. This program teaches participants how to navigate complicated challenges they are facing in their organizations, communities, or personal lives.

Who is CLIC for? Anyone interested in growing their leadership capacity and skills in relationship-building, strategizing, critical thinking, and self-reflection - there are no prerequisites!

What can I expect from the program? Taught by Dr. Kathleen Burke of the SFU Beedie School of Business, the CLIC program consists of content delivery, facilitated discussion, small-group work, and guest speakers including content experts, community leaders, and city officials. In the final two sessions, participants present on what led them to CLIC, the challenges they are facing and the changes they want to make, and how CLIC has prepared them to face those challenges.

What do past participants have to say about the program?

“CLIC helped me to learn new skills and grow, now I’m doing a lot more in Self Advocates of Semiahmoo and BC Self Advocate Leadership Network. I have taken on way more responsibilities.”

“CLIC helped me understand the importance of diversity in leadership positions and provided me with the skills to pursue those positions.”

“Awesome initiative! CLIC helped me critically think about how I could take action in my community for positive change. It helped me feel more confident that community problems do have a place for someone like me and that my voice matters too.”
